Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy covers WAVDROP's paid plans. Creem (creem.io), our merchant of record, takes the payment and sends any refund. Our Terms of Service cover everything else.
Try Free first
WAVDROP has a free plan, so you can upload, share, and collect notes before you pay. Please try it first to make sure WAVDROP fits how you work.
Cancelling
- Cancel anytime in Settings › Plan & storage › Manage billing. Cancelling turns off auto-renewal.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your workspace moves to Free.
- Cancelling on its own doesn't refund the rest of the period.
On Free, files over the Free storage limit are deleted after 60 days, oldest first. Our Terms explain what happens when a paid plan ends.
7-day refund window
If you buy a paid plan and it isn't a fit, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment, as long as:
- your account has been used within reasonable limits; and
- your account hasn't been restricted for breaking our Terms.
We may ask a quick question about what didn't work, mostly to fix it if it's a bug. You don't need to write an essay.
Reasonable use
A refund isn't a free trial. If an account uploads or delivers far more than normal in its first days, for example filling most of its storage and sharing it widely, and then asks for a refund, we may decline it. We keep this flexible so normal use is never penalized.
Refunds we always approve
- Duplicate charges, such as being billed twice for the same period.
- A charge made after you had already cancelled.
- A core feature, such as uploading, playback, or share links, doesn't work for you, and we can't fix it within the 7-day window.
What isn't refunded
- Requests more than 7 days after the payment.
- Renewals, monthly or yearly, including a renewal you forgot to cancel. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Changing your mind after the 7-day window, or not using your plan.
- Problems caused by your own setup, such as browser extensions, ad blockers, network filters, or files that are over your plan's upload limit or in an unsupported format.
- Accounts restricted, suspended, or terminated for breaking our Terms, including uploading copyrighted material without permission.
How to ask for a refund
Email contact@wavdrop.link from the address on your account within 7 days of the payment. Include:
- the email address on your WAVDROP account;
- your Creem receipt or order number; and
- a one-line reason.
If you think your account was restricted by mistake, say so and we'll review it.
After a refund
- Creem returns the money to your original payment method. It usually shows up within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- A refunded plan ends right away and your workspace moves to Free, under the same rules as any plan that ends.
Chargebacks
Please email us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster. An account with an open chargeback may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed.
Everything else
This policy doesn't take away any refund rights the consumer law of your country gives you. We may decline requests that look fraudulent or designed to get around these rules. We may update this policy; the version in effect when you paid applies to that payment.
