Terms of Service
This version has been replaced. Read the current Terms of Service.
WAVDROP is a beta service for sharing audio files and collecting review notes. By creating an account or using a share link, you agree to these terms.
Your account and content
You are responsible for your account and for activity under it. You keep ownership of content you upload. You give us permission to store, process, and deliver that content only as needed to operate WAVDROP. You must have the rights required to upload and share it.
Share links can be forwarded by their recipients. Use passwords and link controls when the material is sensitive.
Acceptable use
Do not use WAVDROP for unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or harmful content; malware; unauthorized access; or attempts to disrupt the service. We may disable a share link, suspend a workspace, or remove content while investigating a report or complying with law.
Copyright: zero tolerance
Upload only material you created, own, or have written permission to use. That covers songs, beats, samples, loops, stems, vocals, and artwork. Uploading, storing, or sharing someone else's copyrighted work without permission is strictly prohibited. A private link, a credit to the artist, not making money from it, or planning to delete it later does not count as permission.
If we receive a credible report or notice, or find infringing material ourselves, we may immediately and without prior warning remove it, disable every share link that carries it, and suspend or permanently terminate the account and every workspace it owns. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. A terminated user may not open a new account. Content in a terminated account may be deleted and cannot be recovered.
If your account is suspended or terminated for infringement, you lose access to the service and to any paid period that remains. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.
Copyright infringement can lead to civil claims and, in serious cases, criminal prosecution. In the United States, statutory damages for willful infringement can reach $150,000 per work. You alone are responsible for everything you upload and share, and you agree to cover any losses, damages, and reasonable legal costs that WAVDROP or the people who run it face because of it. We cooperate with rights holders and authorities, and we may preserve and disclose account details, upload records, and content when the law requires it.
If you believe something was removed by mistake, email contact@wavdrop.link.
Reporting infringement
We do not want to host anyone's copyrighted work without permission, and we act quickly on reports. If you own the rights to something shared on WAVDROP, use the Report control on its share page or email contact@wavdrop.link with the subject "Copyright report". Include the share link, the work you own, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them. Knowingly false reports may be ignored and can make the sender liable.
Beta availability and loss
The service is provided as-is during beta. Features may change, and we do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular uptime, or permanent storage. Database backups may be made for recovery, but audio objects are not versioned: deleted audio files cannot be recovered. Keep your own copies of every file you upload.
Ending use
You can delete your account in Settings › Delete account. Deleting your account deletes every workspace you own, including what other members added there. If your account needs our review, that page records the request; if you cannot sign in, email contact@wavdrop.link. We verify ownership before acting on a support request.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, WAVDROP is not liable for lost files, lost revenue, indirect damages, or actions taken through a shared link. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Contact
Questions about these terms: contact@wavdrop.link. To report hosted content, use the Report control on its share page. Reports are sent to the private admin moderation queue.
