WAVDROP

Terms of Service

Archived version, in effect October 26–November 1, 2026. Read the current Terms of Service.

These Terms apply to WAVDROP ("we", "us"). By creating an account, or by opening or commenting on a WAVDROP share link, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use WAVDROP.

Beta

WAVDROP is in early access. Features may change or be removed, and we don't promise any particular uptime.

Your account

You must be 16 or older, and under 18 only with a parent's or guardian's permission. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you think someone else got in, email support@wavdrop.link right away.

Your content stays yours

You own what you upload. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, stream, and display it only to run WAVDROP for you and the people you share it with. We don't use it for anything else. We don't sell it, advertise with it, or train AI on it.

You confirm that you own your uploads or have every permission you need, including from artists, labels, and sample owners for unreleased music. You also confirm that sharing them doesn't break an NDA, a label deal, or anyone else's rights.

Share links

Anyone with a share link can open it, and links can be forwarded. You decide who gets your links. We aren't responsible for access by people you share with, or by anyone they forward a link to. Use a password or disable a link to manage access. Download settings control downloads through WAVDROP; listeners can still save, record, or screen-record playback.

Not a backup

We are not a backup service, and we don't aim to be one. Keep your own copies of everything you upload. Deleted files can't be recovered, and we aren't liable for lost or corrupted files.

Security

Security is a priority for us. We put real time into building, testing, and monitoring WAVDROP's protections, and we use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections, AES-256 encryption at rest, private file storage, and strict access controls. Our Security page explains how.

Even so, no online service can be made completely secure, and new kinds of attacks, including automated and AI-driven ones, appear all the time. We can't guarantee that WAVDROP will always be available, error-free, or free from unauthorized access. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for harm caused by someone who gets past these safeguards despite the reasonable precautions we take.

AI connectors

You can connect an AI app, such as Claude or ChatGPT, in Settings › AI connectors. That connection is optional. Those apps are run by other companies. We don't control their software, how often they contact WAVDROP, whether a request is something you asked for, or whether they stay compatible with us.

A connected app can send a large number of requests on its own, including in the background when you aren't using it. To protect WAVDROP, your account, and other users, we may slow, pause, or block a connection, an entire app, or a network. We may do this without notice, including when you did nothing wrong. While a limit is in place, that app may not be able to read or change your workspace. The website, your files, and your share links keep working.

We aren't liable for a connector that is interrupted, unavailable, or blocked for these reasons, or for what a third-party app does with access you gave it. You can disconnect an app anytime in Settings › AI connectors.

Acceptable use

Don't use WAVDROP to:

  • upload or share anything illegal, infringing, or harmful;
  • spread malware or spam, or impersonate anyone;
  • scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the service;
  • get around passwords, download controls, or limits; or
  • attack or security-test WAVDROP, except under our disclosure policy.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We may review content, but we don't have to.

Copyright: zero tolerance

Upload only material you created, own, or have written permission to use. That covers songs, beats, samples, loops, stems, vocals, and artwork. Uploading, storing, or sharing someone else's copyrighted work without permission is strictly prohibited. A private link, a credit to the artist, not making money from it, or planning to delete it later does not count as permission.

If we receive a credible report or notice, or find infringing material ourselves, we may immediately and without prior warning remove it, disable every share link that carries it, and suspend or permanently terminate the account and every workspace it owns. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. A terminated user may not open a new account. Content in a terminated account may be deleted and cannot be recovered.

If your account is suspended or terminated for infringement, you lose access to the service and to any paid period that remains. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.

Copyright infringement can lead to civil claims and, in serious cases, criminal prosecution. You alone are responsible for everything you upload and share, and you agree to cover any losses, damages, and reasonable legal costs that WAVDROP or the people who run it face because of it. We cooperate with rights holders and authorities, and we may preserve and disclose account details, upload records, and content when the law requires it.

If you own something shared on WAVDROP without permission, use the Report button on the share page or email support@wavdrop.link. Include the link, the work you own, and your contact details. If your content was removed by mistake, email us and explain why. A report you know is false can be ignored, and it can make you liable.

The Free plan

WAVDROP has a free plan so you can try it before you pay. Free currently includes:

  • 1 GB of storage;
  • uploads up to 100 MB per file;
  • 2 projects and 2 clients (deleted ones don't count); and
  • share links without password protection.

Paid plans raise these limits. Settings › Plan & storage always shows what your plan includes. We may change what Free includes. If a change affects files you already store, we'll tell you first and give you time to act.

Paid plans and billing

Paid plans are sold by Creem (creem.io), our merchant of record. Creem takes your payment and handles sales tax and VAT. Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime in Settings › Plan & storage › Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal payment fails, you keep your plan while Creem retries the charge.

We'll tell you before a price change applies to you. A new price starts at your next renewal, never in the middle of a period you already paid for. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

A plan we give you without charge, such as a beta or invite plan, isn't billed. We may change or end it after telling you.

When a paid plan ends

When a paid plan ends for any reason, including cancellation, a failed payment Creem gives up on, or a refund, your workspace moves to Free. Nothing is deleted right away. If you're over Free's limits:

  • you can't upload until you're back under the storage limit;
  • your existing projects, clients, and password-protected links keep working, but you can't add more than Free allows; and
  • you can still play, share, and download your files.

If your workspace is still over Free's storage limit 60 days after your plan ends, we permanently delete your files, oldest first, until it fits within the limit. Deleted files can't be recovered. We'll warn you in the app and by email when your plan ends, 30 days in, 7 days before deletion, and the day before. To keep everything, download what you need, delete files yourself, or move back to a paid plan before then.

Account deletion

You can delete your account anytime in Settings › Delete account. This deletes every workspace you own, including what other members added there. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put WAVDROP or its users at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

WAVDROP is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or a leaked or delayed release. We also aren't liable for events outside our control, such as provider outages, cyberattacks, or the software of a connected AI app, or for slowing, pausing, or blocking a connector to protect WAVDROP. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover our costs if someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your misuse of WAVDROP.

All of this applies as far as the law allows. It doesn't limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence, or any rights the law doesn't let us take away.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, email support@wavdrop.link first and give us 30 days to fix it. This doesn't stop urgent legal action or a claim facing a legal deadline. These Terms are governed by Israeli law, and disputes go to the courts of Israel.

Changes and everything else

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here and email you about important changes. Earlier versions stay available. If you keep using WAVDROP, you accept them. If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If WAVDROP is transferred to a company formed to operate it, or the service is sold, these Terms move with it. We may use feedback you send us freely.
